Katy Collier
Katy has created a small business for herself printing and making curtains and the like for friends, on etsy and in local stores like Renegade Handmade and Woldbait. She also teaches printmaking and works at Growing Home a non-profit that provides job training through urban farming. She has taught printmaking, drawing, and creative writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was a trustee scholar and received her MFA in printmaking in 2009, and also received a BA from Whittier College in 2002. As principle organizer of Fresh Prints, a community printmaking event for Southern Graphics Council in 2009, she taught students to print shirts, totes and aprons. She has also been a visiting artist at Columbia College and has shown at Eel Space in Chicago.
