The piece was designed for a show at an event called “Devils Night”. The artist used her interpretation of this night that is known for “friends, fun, and arson”, as well as drew inspiration from the devil tarot card. Traditionally, the card features an image of the devil as the central character, with a man and a woman by his side. Here we see Iggy Pop as the devil, with Jack and Meg White by his side. “Devil’s Night” takes place the night before Halloween in Detroit, which is also the hometown of all three of these musicians.
