Angee Lennard
Angee Lennard is the founder of Spudnik Press Cooperative, and currently serves as the Executive Director. Establishing the space in 2007, she built the press from the ground up, initially utilizing her apartment to create a live/work space. The following year, the press moved to a dedicated studio space, and programming expanded to include a residency program, keyholder memberships, consignment printing, and collaborative projects. Angee has also been working with Marwen for the past 3 years, assisting and leading classes in the areas of painting, drawing, design, and print. Angee has also spent many hours working with residents at local nursing homes. Initially working as a volunteer, Angee merged her interest with art with her dedication to improving the quality of living for institutionalized older adults. Time spent in these communities led to the creation of a comic book Mossdale Estate as well as gainful employment. She currently works at a long-term care facility teaching computer classes, helping residents use the computer to complete cognitive exercises to improve age-related cognitive decline. She received her BFA with an emphasis is Print Media from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005.
